I managed the house for one day!

 Hii

Yesterday, for the first time in life I (When my mother, aunt, grandmother, elder sister are all out) had to manage the house, meals and all the chores.

From morning to night.

Dudeeee! Working for the day, all the chores were no cake walk!!!

I request you to do this as a challenge or something.

"Trying to do what our moms are doing daily"

Just for one day.

Mostly nobody will do, I know.

So, let me tell you.

What they do.

They wake up. They mostly don't make a morning skincare regime or a gym workout session.

They fill water pots.

They make breakfast.

Serve it to all the members, as they come.

Little they get time for their exercise, morning routine, etc., while thinking of what to make for lunch.

They start preparing lunch.

They serve it to all the members, again, as they come.

She eats, may be before everyone or after. But mostly alone.

And many times get up in midst of her meal to take rice or papad. Because she has assigned  some kitchen cleaning chore to the helper and also because she is so busy in serving her people that she forgets that she deserves to be served too, that she deserved to be able to eat peacefully too.

Then they rest for sometime. Literally some time.

In between that, press waale bhaiya comes, guests come or some one rings the bell.

Ok. Mostly she can't even rest full.

Then she prepare fruits or tea or some sort of that thing for all.

And eat a little while preparing or serving others. Or later, mostly alone.

Because others are busy and they eat and leave.

(Not meaning to demean anyone, that happens)

In between these meals she manages, what we feel are automatic tasks - laundry, making sure house is well kept, etc.

Then, dinner

Tiring to even read, right?

They serve it to all the members, again, as they come.

She eats.

Some times she go for a kitty party - which some "morally high" people think is unnecessary and a pass-time.

She talks to her sister maybe daily, some people think that's what's the need!

Bro, she has left her family to come to yours. She has two families. Both are equally hers as the other one. Of course she has to maintain both.

There are many things (Including working moms) that I've not included in this, but you got the gist, right?

At the end, I want to bring more of our focus on the topics like more acknowledgment for our mothers, more respect for what selflessly they do for us and the family.

More respect.

More acknowledgment.

Try to think from her perspective...

As someone rightly said, "Mothers deserve the highest salary".

  1. I love how raw it is. It preserves the originality. Nothing filtered. It exactly depicts what our moms do every day. And honestly it would seem like a huge task to juggle between things if we had to do it even one day.
